Salmon Valley water quality

Water quality report

SVWC staff test the water each month. Samples are taken to a certified lab for analysis and we receive the test results at the same time that the OHA receives them. Any actionable results will be dealt with immediately and in close conjuction with OHA staff. More extensive tests are taken on an annual, tri annual and 5 year basis.

Backflow Testing and Cross-Connection Prevention

Oregon law requires that certain backflow preventers be tested annually. If you have a backflow device that is required by law to be tested you will be notified by our office. The notice will be sent by USPS by October 1 of each year. The notice will define the time period in which the device must be tested and results returned to the SVWC office. Failure to have your device tested by that period will result in your service being shut off in the interest of public safety. The notice will also include a list of the known licensed Cross Connection inspectors in the area. SVWC makes no recommendations for testers.
